The survey by Prom-Peru was applied to 1,350 age 18 foreign tourists, who rescued that what more attractive of his visits was the friendliness of the people and the beautiful natural landscapes in Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail and the Colca Valley.
However, not everything was praise for our tourist attractions. Travelers expressed their discontent with the high rates to walk the Inca Trail and visit Machu Picchu, as well as the excessive amount of tourists who come to the shrine architectural. Other points against were the poor state of the roads in the Colca Valley; the poor conditions of the toilets on the Inca Trail, the Valle del Colca and Huaca Rajada; the neglect of the heritage and the lack of information in multiple languages.
"The study confirms us that spontaneously foreign tourists highlights the positive aspects of the Peru, which supported 98% of level of satisfaction with our foreign visitors," said Elizabeth Barthelmess, general manager of Prom-Peru, who added that with these statistics, it will be possible to know the strengths and weaknesses of the evaluated attractions, as well as to what extent services influence the general perception of the tourist attraction.
Then, the level of overall satisfaction of foreign tourists in the studied destinations:
Machu Picchu: 96 %
Camino Inca: 98 %
Colca Valley: 95%
Lines of Nasca: 96%
Sipan (Huaca Rajada): 98%
Sipan (Royal tombs): 97%
